Eleven killed in accident at northeast China coal mine: Report

At least eleven people died in the coal mine accident that took place in China's northeastern Heilongjiang province on Tuesday. The accident occurred at 3 pm. The police believed that the rock burst was responsible for the accident but still, the investigation is ongoing to search for the real cause. Rock bursts happen when pent-up energy stored in rock causes it to violently fracture. The report did not provide information on whether other people were still unaccounted for.
