Pakistan: Polio virus detected in sewage samples from 18 districts

Pakistan's Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication has detected Wild Poliovirus Type 1 in sewage samples from 18 districts, including Islamabad and major cities in all four provinces. The samples were collected from February 21 to March 6, highlighting the ongoing presence and risk of polio in the country.
