Bahrain declares public holiday on 1 January for New Year 2026

Bahrain has announced a public holiday on Thursday, 1 January 2026, to mark the New Year. The Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, issued a circular stating that all ministries, state departments, and public institutions will be closed, allowing government employees and residents to welcome 2026.
